First Vick - Is Favre Next? AG Sports Talk

Vick signed, now what?
Last Thursday it was announced that the Philadelphia Eagles had signed Mike Vick. The story broke right in the middle of the Eagles' preseason game versus the New England Patriots. Immediately it became the hot topic of sports. Earlier today, Donovan McNabb had a press conference where he admitted that he proposed the idea to head coach Andy Reid.
McNabb could have just been saying he wanted Vick on the team to relieve himself of questions revolving around whether or not he was worried Vick could overrun him as the Eagles' starting quarterback. Most likely not, but you never know. It would make sense, though, if McNabb did want Vick on the team. The two were known to have a friendly relationship since Vick has been in the league.
The big question looming is how the Eagles will use Vick. Unfortunately, that question won't be answered for some time. First off, Vick won't even be able to play a preseason game until the Eagles' third game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 27th. And Andy Reid would be crazy to show the nation any trick plays involving Vick before the regular season begins.
Commissioner Roger Goodell has stated he will decide on Vick's reinstatement no later than week 6. This doesn't mean Vick will be reinstated no later than week 6, just that we will know exactly when he'll be able to play by then. You can bet Vick will be back in the league by week 13. That's when the Eagles go to Atlanta to play Vick's old team, the Faclons. Hopefully, Goodell decides to reinstate him earlier than that.
A lot of people have floated the idea of using Vick in the "Wildcat" formation that has become increasingly popular. Last year the Eagles used receiver DeSean Jackson as the 'quaterback' in the formation.
Though the "Wildcat" is an obvious choice for Vick, there are other options. The Eagles could bring Vick in as a 3rd down back either single back, or split with Westbrook or McCoy. This gives the defense one extra guy they have to keep an eye on. Out of this formation you can run Vick on a screen, or even a halfback option. The halfback options lets Vick do what he always did best. It lets him decide to pass if someone is open, or tuck it in and try and run for some yards if he sees a seem.
Another option is kick/punt returner. This is a bit harder to do, since the Eagles' would have to set aside practice for him to learn how to properly catch the ball and when to fair catch or take off with it. But, I don't think I've ever seen a quarterback also take the field as a kick returner.
Will Brett Favre return to play for the Vikings?

Is Favre really done?
A couple weeks ago Brett Favre told the nation that he is staying retired after months of considering a return with the Minnesota Vikings. But is this true?
Earlier, undisclosed Vikings' players came out and said they believe Favre isn't actually done. One player even said he expects Favre to sign with the team by week 3 of the preseason.
This could very well be true. Since when is Brett Favre a guy who makes a decision by someone else's time? He's more of a "randomly join when he's ready" type of guy. Favre is that person who can never make up his mind. One day he wants to be retired, the next he wants to play. He's been back and forth with this for months now. As much as I think him coming back for yet another season knocks his legacy down a notch, he needs to just do it. If he is still considering it, he'll regret it if he doesn't return.
